Chikami is a good friend of Suzu, who attends the same high school as her. He is a hot-blooded boy who set up a canoe club all by himself and aims for inter-school athletic success. He can be a little airheaded at times and tends to joke about girls having crushes on him. As a skilled canoeist, he eventually manages to quality for the national championship.
