At the beginning of the story she's in love with Narumi Kanai, her childhood friend who is now her teacher. She immediately realizes that Narumi is in love with Akane Minagawa and not her. She meets Mugi Awaya, who is in love with Akane, and starts a relationship with him to satisfy each other's loneliness.
She has different attitudes with each character: she's cheerful with Sanae Ebato, her best friend, timid with Narumi Kanai and sincere with Mugi because she trusts him a lot.
